Thank You, Alice

I recently signed up to take part in a swap organized by the very lovely and talented, Alice. Today, after a particularly, um, shall we say stressful, no maybe testing, or even downright awful day at work, I arrived home to find my postman had delivered these beautifully wrapped gifts.

The themes we were to follow were: Home, Vibrant, Scented, Natural and Delicious, and we were to send gifts using our own interpretation of these themes.

Here are my gorgeous gifts unwrapped.

Home: A beautiful homemade booklet with photographs of Alice and her beautiful family
Vibrant: An exquisite handbag made by Alice - I told you she was talented - I can't wait to wear this during the summer, and am so excited to have it.
Scented: Wild flower seeds, to sow around my shed.
Natural: Treats for His Grumpiness made with natural ingredients.
Delicious: Home made chocolate truffles. I know these are delicious as I've eaten several already.

It's strange to think that someone I haven't actually met could know me so well. So thank you once again, Alice for my thoughtful and much appreciated gifts.

yippeee! so nice to see them in their rightful home! I just showed hubby and said "look, they even fit in with your blog colour scheme!" I'm so glad they cheered up your day :-) That was the whole point and enjoy the bag - this was just the kind of thing I envisioned you wearing - I'm glad I was right in my choices :-) And crikey you should see how many chocolates I ate ... hmmmmm xxx

They do look perfect here, don't they?

The truffles are so delicious, and Grumps loves his treats too. My daughter adores the bag, but has been told to stay away from it as it's mine! Ha.

Thanks again. So glad I took part. x

How beautiful is that bag!!!!!!

Now you have to come to the RNA conference - just to carry it into the Gala dinner!

Not so strange, perhaps, if Alice reads your blog, which it seems she does. But even so, those are fabulous gifts, you lucky thing!

What a lovely idea--and surprise to get in the mail when your day was the pits, Debs. Couldn't happen to a nicer person. And someone has been really noticing your likes and dislikes to come up with such good gifts. I'm reminded of a dear aunt who used to give me a big box of individually wrapped gifts at Christmas. Best kind of present ever.

Wow what a brilliant idea - do you suppose it is possible to expand it a little bit? Say, swap lives for a week or two! ;-)
