Taking It Easy

I've spent the last few days holed up in The Plotting Shed with Grumps trying to finish edits so that I can forward them on to someone who's very kindly agreed to read through this 'dirty' draft and give me feedback.

Now the email has been sent off I'm taking it a little easy and making the most of the last day of the long weekend. I did intend sunbathing, but that's not going to happen, cloudbathing doesn't quite fit the bill, so I'm going to take the freshly bathed Grumps for a walk on the beach and then put my feet up in the conservatory with The Provence Cure For The Brokenhearted by Bridget Asher.

Only a few more days until the public voting ends for the Shed of the Year 2011 competition and if you haven't yet voted and would like to here's the link

Thank you so much for all the votes and comments I've received so far, even if we don't (Grumps and me) get anywhere it's been great fun taking part, even though the picture of my chair is a little distorted and must make you think that I have an exceptionally bad case of 'writer's bottom'.

Have a relaxing Bank Holiday.

I voted for you shed and will keep my fingers crossed it wins :o)

Good luck with the draft feedback - I've just finished rewriting mine and am letting it settle before I do anything else!

Good luck with the shed contest, Debs. Already voted. ("Writer's bottom" made me giggle. Think I have writer's arms and writer's middle.)

Happy Bank Holiday! We have cloud here today too; laundry is spinning in the dryer. Spider plants abound in our house right now; I took two from the kids' flat, repotted them, and as soon as they all own new abodes, will redistribute them appropriately.

Good luck with Shed of the Year; I so hope you and Grumps win!!

karen - thanks very much for the vote and good luck with your book.

liane - thanks for voting. I think I have 'writers' frown' as I'm always staring in a confused fashion at my laptop trying to think what to write next.

Dizzy C - Thanks for voting. You sound as dizzy as I am. In fact the family call me Dizzy Debs with great regularity.

B E Sanderson - thanks, hope you have a great weekend too.

Anna - Its one way to never run out of plants and I have to admit I do like them.

Thanks for the good wishes.

I've not been in my lovely little summerhouse, either, Debs, but not just because of the weather but because I've been under the weather! But getting better. As you know I've voted for your shed. We called our shed, until it was built and we gave it the fancy name of 'summerhouse', the shed-house, as until it was painted it really looked like a shed! Mind you, you had to be very careful how you pronounced "shed-house" ...

Debs, I hope you've been able to locate my contact details then I can send you some pix of my little summerhouse. It is small, only 8 x 6, but I love it. I don't use it as a plotting shed, though; my writing takes place in the study.
