Well I don't know about you, but I'm freezing. Okay, so technically I'm not, but it was white on the roads this morning and I spotted the occasional frosty windscreen as I drove to work. I think last night was the first time this winter that the temperature dropped to zero. Brrr.
The only heater I have in The Plotting Shed is a small fan that I bought a few years ago from a local shop for about £8. However, fingerless gloves, several scarves, warm boots and cups of tea help a little.
Grumps doesn't seem too bothered, as long as he has his daily dental chew and the odd biscuit when we're out there, he spends the rest of his time sleeping on his new chair.
All I can say is, roll on summer!

Only the second time for us Debs. You're braver than me ... I have a fan heater at school (it's official - I haven't sneaked it in) and had to turn it on this afternoon before a meeting. I swear our heating goes off after lunch!
Loving the image I have of all those scarves ... pics? x
I am layered up to the hilt.
Regardless of whether you're writing the next great novel or just watching Downton Abbey re-runs we all need some privacy. I was reminded of that when I had my sister with me over the Christmas holidays. My favorite stay warm is a shawl. Not so restrictive as sweaters and a lot of layers but still cozy.
Sending you some Australian summer heat... :-)
It's been colder here too the past couple of days. But I love the cold, sharp and DRY weather - it's so much nicer than the constant rain we often have.
It won't be long until spring now - glad Grumps is enduring it well!
Well, no one can say you lack dedication, Debs! I really admire you for sticking at it even when you're perishing in The Plotting Shed.
I have to say that it is bloomin freezing here!! I wen to my art group last night and walking back, which is only about a five minute walk, I couldn't feel my fingers or toes!
Roll on summer indeed!

I didn't think you had frosts in Jersey, Debs! Isn't it always hot and sunny?
I find a hot water bottle wrapped in a fleece round my feet keeps me warm when it's really cold.
I woke up to 1 degree F (-17 C) this morning. I'm in the house but I'm still wearing thermal socks and a fleecy.
Stay warm over there, and tell Grumps he needs to park himself on your feet for extra warmth.
It's freezing here too. The worst bit is it looks so nice outside, all spring-like and sunny. And then you step outside and get a freezing cold shock. Not happy.
We've had a south easterly wind here which makes Falmouth freezing so yes I've been cold too. But I wrap up with lots of thermals and different layers, and come home and light the woodburner!
Everything here is frozen solid. I quite like to look at frosty fields but it's so cold. I've had the heating on full and have been lighting the wood burner to keep nice and cosy. Stay warm!
Thick, dense fog here yesterday. I have to be honest though and admit that I do love these different seasons. Most of the time anyway.
Stay warm lovely ladies.x
We've been quite spoiled by the temperatures here in Nebraska. Normally we get frigid winters, but this one has been very mild. That may change, though, and probably will since our weather is notoriously fickle!
Stay warm...and maybe have Grumps lay on your feet and keep them warm. :-)
Winter is finally reaching us sometime later today; no rain in nearly two months, but allegedy a storm is heading south, maybe by this evening?
I feel chilled just thinking of you and Grumpy in that shed! You RAWK!! (Grumpy too...)
Aha! I knew there must be a downside to having a special writing shed...here's hoping it warms up soon!
I should probably keep quiet, shouldn't I?
(I do hope you warm up soon.)
It IS freezing today. Hope the shed warms up for you. Delighted to see you're still there! I'm been off radar for a while but am back blogging again so please pop by and say hi... F x
I've been away to the Caribbean heat and am now back to the cold. Lovely and sunny though!
