Bad Mood

I've treated myself to the Love for Lydia series (R commented that I'm always treating myself. He's not wrong). I posted my sixth assignment yesterday evening and the word counter says that I've reached 62% on my wip. I was even chirpy at work today and believe me that took some doing, so why am I now in such a grumpy mood?

It's not like I'm bored. I've just finished making a cottage pie, ironing (that I had forgotten to do over the weekend) and stocked up the cupboards/fridge with a mountainous shop.

I even popped into WHS at lunchtime and bought more flashcards (different coloured ones for each book), Writer's Forum mag (Sally Quilford's column makes great reading) and a stash of Whispers that I've put away for when I can allow myself one. Oh yes, and I've also lost half a stone.

So what the hell is wrong with me today? I'm getting on my own nerves, so I think I'll go off to the shed and get on with some writing, who knows, maybe that will put a smile on my miserable face.

Sometimes days just turn like that. Hope getting some writing done helps. If not - chocolate? :o) I'm sure one bar won't do the diet any real harm, as long as you stick at that!

You've achieved amazing amounts today. I'm in awe. Well done on the 62%, I've just reached 60% and I'm really chuffed.

I just had to laugh at this post on bad moods... because I totally understand. My moods can change in a heartbeat. It's crazy, really. But if you're like me, and you just wait a minute, your mood will change again... you know-- like the New England weather-- If you don't like the weather in NE, wait a minute-- that's me! Take care, Debs.

Hey Debs, that was me too yesterday! Mood, face, Whispa bars by the dozen. But you lost half a stone where as I have put it on...so you deserver a Whispa bar. (I do wish they hadn't made them again ;) )

Keep on going with that WIP, word after word, that's what makes us writers. x

Oh no, Debs! I can completely empathise with you. My moods are inexplicable but they really take you over don't they? Having said that, being an objective bystander you're going great guns on all fronts! Well done you! Now open that chocolate!

*Hugs* moods are strange things aren't they. Hope you're feeling better.

b - I feel a little better now that I've been writing for a bit. I'm going to bed now and should be okay by the morning (hopefully):)

helenmh - thanks, I've seen your word count each day on 100 words per day and you're doing incredibly well.

kaye manro - lol, it's good to know that there's others like me out there. R and the children just let me get on with it as they know it'll soon pass.

l-plate - I know, I couldn't believe it when I spotted them by the till at WHSmith today, I didn't know whether to cheer or groan, but I still bought four!

mummy - thank you, I've resisted melting down all four bars and pouring them down my throat and I think I shall have one though.

yvonne - thanks, I am a bit better now I've been quietly typing away in the shed.

Hey, hugs from me too. I hope you're feeling chirpier today.

Full moon? Makes the best of us feel a bit potty and/or grumpy at times. Especially when combined with hormones. Who thought of that one, eh?

Hope today finds a smiley Debs X

Er, sorry, not sure if this is appropriate, but I found your post really entertaining! I can so identify with it. I bet you have the other kind of day, too, sometimes - the one where nothing specifically good happens, but you feel perfectly happy nonetheless.

Zinnia cyclamen - you would be right, I certainly do have those sorts of days, more often than not too.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Could be the weather, it does affect my mood sometimes - you've certainly got no other reason to feel cross, you're going great guns! Maybe it's knowing those Wispas are in the cupboard...

Half a stone! I'm so impressed! You're doing great, Debs. The mood will pass - probably has already.

casdok - thanks, I don't like being in a bad mood and thankfully it doesnt happen that often.

karen - probably, I shan't buy any more as they really are too tempting.

wordtryst - thanks, I certainly need to stick with it as recent photos gave me such a shock.
