A Clever Idea

Apparently there is a chap in South Africa who was so fed up of people breaking into his yard that he had his dog clipped to look like a lion. Since then he hasn't had a problem at all.

What a clever idea.

Do you think it would work if I did the same with him?

Thought not!

Yes a very clever idea.

Hmmm - I don't think even a complete wimp like me would be very scared of your little dog... unless he barks very loudly...
You should be receiving your copy of Cut Short soon, Debs. I hope you enjoy it!

Me too, how funny is the first photie when you've seen the second? And the third one is even better, he's so aptly named x

I'm sure Grumpy would do his best to behave in a suitably lion-like manner!

Hilarious, but what could I make my little foxy/chihuahua look like? A ferocious rat??

Ha Ha, Grumpy looks like he can read your mind! :-)

Brilliant idea but I don't think my Basset would be much good either. Could try a sheep in wolf's clothing I suppose!!!!

I love that! And what a hard stare Grumpy's got - enough to see off any burglars!

So funny! I think Grumpy's expression would be enough to scare off intruders, bless him :o)

casdok - I love the lion-look, but laughed at the pic of his face, so sweet.

leigh - he has a high-pitched bark that drives us all nuts. Can't wait to receive my book.

l-plate - he is, isn't he?

helen - he thinks he's far bigger than he actually is.

melissa - I know.

lane - he probably thought that too.

fia - he certainly does, bless him.

anna - he's a miserable little devil.

liane - thanks.

l'aussie - aw, so sweet.

amanda - I think he probably can.

sheepish - bassets are too cute to change in any way.

captain black - haha, I certainly do. I think you may have a point there.

carol - I wouldn't dare try it on him, he'd fight me all the way.

chrish - poor him.

pat - he has his moments (very occasionally).

lucy d - he doesn't possess a cheerful expression, poor him.

fionnuala - thanks.

karen - people do get scared of him as he can act really vicious. We have two postmen, one doesn't mind him at all, and the other hates him. It's mutual too.
