Grumpy's New Chair

HIS CHAIR: Yesterday Rob noticed that there was a pink Lloyd Loom Lusty chair up for auction. Naturally, I decided it would be perfect for Grumps to snooze on in the shed and a great replacement for the white, plastic, garden chair he occupies now.

I emailed in my bid and Rob collected it for me today. Here's a picture of Grumps looking decidedly underwhelmed with his present. For some reason, I don't feel that he's as impressed with my purchase as I was!

MY CHAIR: This is my chair. I love it. They almost match and I'm sure he'll be much happier when I put it in the shed next to mine and he can curl up and go to sleep.

Well, that's the plan anyway...

The look on Grumps' face is priceless! Tell him he isn't meant to use it and then, if he's anything like T&T, he'll want to.

Maybe he thinks pink isn't his colour? Poor Grumpy.

Absolutely love it, his expression says it all! Maybe it needs a plumper cushion? That's what my dogs demand :D

Arrrhhhh - he looks so grumpy, doesn't he - and secretly delighted all at the same time!

Polly & Ruby, my westies, send Grumpy their love from their wicker doggy basket where they cuddle up and no doubt dream of a pink chair each.

He's adorable, Debs! My dad used to have a Miniature Schnauzer and she was just as grumpy-looking! LOVE the new-look blog by the way - so fresh and bright - nice job!

Oh, lucky find and lucky bid! Grumps probably just doesn't like breaking in a new "throne" chair! Just a matter of time, surely! Eventually could we have a photo of the two of you in the shed in your "his and hers" chairs?

Thanks for the lovely comments, ladies. I'm going to find a cushion and try to make his chair as comfortable as possible so he can't help like it.

Bless him. He couldn't look more grumpy if he tried :-)

You won! Not that Grumpy looks especially appreciative just yet, but we all like the photo and the chair!

Oh, I love those matching chairs! Maybe all Grumpy needs is a cute, comfy cushion like yours.

He is the grumpiest dog I know, both to look at and in his personality! Can't help loving the little devil though.

That is so perfect and cute!

Beautiful! Perhaps he shd have a nice smelly old cushion to compensate for the smartness of the chair:)

Christine - thanknyou.

Suzie - I think you could be right!

I'm late getting to this - as always - but it's well worth the wait for the look on his face. Aw, Grumps looks less than impressed. LOL, love it. :)

Very nice photo. The dog looks really masculine sitting on a very lady like chair.

How fantastic. I love the idea of the two of you sitting in (nearly) matching chairs.

carol - I great friend bought me that gorgeous shoe cushion, I love it.

shirley - he's grumpier than usual in that picture. His chair needs to be made a little more inviting I feel.

natalie - lol, I agree!

jenny - we look like a couple of old grumps on our chairs!

Your chair is lovely and the cushion. I can't stop laughing at your dog's face he looks like he's saying, "I told you not to take my photo again!"

Cassam - he doesn't look very impressed, does he?
