Editing In The Shed...

I'm in the shed editing, so really, I should sign off and get on with it, but there's so much going on at the moment. Here's a snippet...

On Monday it's the Romantic Novelists' Association's Awards 2012 (RONAs). I'd love to have been there, but work is hectic and I've only just returned from the Caribbean so I couldn't really take the time off.

The closing date for the Novelicious Undiscovered 2012 Writing Competition is on 3rd April (only a month away), so if you were thinking of entering (wish I could, but as part of the team I can't) don't forget to send your submission in before that date.

Posts about the line up for the Historical Novel Society Conference in September are very exciting. I have a three special birthdays this year (none of them mine) and each one is on a date/weekend when a conference I'd hoped to attend is being held. Thankfully, I should be able to make this one.

Right, enough chatter. It's time I made a fresh cup of tea and carried on with my editing.

What are your writing plans this year?

I smile each time I see your shed. Hope you make the conference. My ambition is to go to one in the UK, and meet my writing buddies at last. Each time I am in the UK it is for family visits.

Hope to get a book out this year. :)

Glynis - thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it.

I hope you get a book out this year too. x

I love that shed, Debs! I'm going to our annual Scottish Association of Writers conference next weekend - I'm judging one of the short story comps, although I always go anyway. Then I'm going to the RNA conference in July - looking forward to it all!

Do you really write in your shed, Deb? Because that is just so cool.

Sounds like a great time to be a writer in the U.K. right now. Don't you wish you could take a sabbatical when there's so much writing and networking to do with other writers? But we must have some good travel memories to carry us through the slow times, right?

Hi Debs - I'm looking forward to the RNA Conference in July - (see you there Rosemary! (((waves)

But before then, on the 16th June, I'm excited to have been asked to be a speaker at the loveahappyending.org 'Summer Audience' in Tetbury Glos - so wish me luck - it's going to be an exciting summer!

I'm sure you can enter the novelicious competition with the help of a name change, a wig and a pair of sunglasses. Simple!

Good luck with the editing x

Jenny - thanks, I hope so too.

Rosemary - have fun at the conferences and I hope you enjoy sunday.

Karen - I do write in a shed most of the time and find it very relaxing for some reason,

Faye - I'd love to be able to take a year off to focus on my writing and would definitely like to travel more.

Janice - the summer audience should be great fun, I wish I could be there.

Anita - thank you.

I'm always forgetting about competitions until it's too late too!

Mama j - lol, maybe, but I'm part of the team so dout I'd get away with it.

Lovely photo Debs. My writing plans are to finish walks book on Cornish writers, carry on doing walks for CT, and another possible new client. Get going on ideas for new novel while I wait to hear back from publishers. Oh, and I'm giving several talks this year too. A busy year!

You're so dedicated, Debs - all that hard work WILL pay off.

Lots of excitement coming your way! I'm looking at publishing a few books, a paperback among them. And I'd like to write something, maybe after my daughter's wedding! :)))

Yay for editing!

I really need to get to work on my next novel. I'm stalled right now - just not in the mood to write, which I hate.
