Grumpy Smiles For The Camera

BEFORE
AFTER
Look at his lordship's happy face. As you can tell, Grumpy was clipped today and right now he's sulking in his bed feeling utterly sorry for himself.

I'm sure he'll feel better tomorrow once he's over the trauma of being clipped, although it's hot today and supposed to cool down tomorrow, so probably not. He has had a run on the beach and perked up a bit when he ran into a rock pool, hence the wet beard. I think he could be smiling in the first photo, not sure though.

I sat up until the early hours making notes in a gorgeous pink Pukka pad for my next novel, which happens to be the prequel to the saga I wrote a couple of years ago. I've been desperately trying to work out whose story I wanted it to be and how I was going to go about it, but thankfully inspiration did finally spark something into my brain and I feel much happier with it. Mind you, I still have to get on with the one I'm working on now.

So I'm going to get in a couple of hours before the good programmes start on the tv (yes, of course, it's The Tudors) as I've been rather lax with my 100 words a day this week, what with one thing and another.

Aw, lovely photos, but it's a little difficult to tell how he's feeling exactly. Grumpy, maybe...?

Grumpy is a right character! I love his expressive face.

The saga you mentioned - was it published? I'm a big fan of sagas.

Your doggie is gorgeous! Good luck with your novel... nothing like a gorgeous pink Pukka pad to get the words flowing. :-))

motherx - I was in the shed early this morning (7.30, but that's unusual. Making the most of the quiet) until I realized that the newly clipped G was shivering, so came back inside for a bit.

helen - thanks, poor little thing isn't at all happy.

maddie moon - he grumbles all the time too, so he doesn't just look that way.

pat posner - not it wasnt, I've only sent it out a couple of times but with no joy. Shall get it out there with more gusto soon.

tam - he has a pedigree name that goes on forever but they don't suit his real 'look'.

calistro - aw thanks, I think he could look a bit more cheerful, though maybe not.

annie bright - thanks. I love those pads and have so many dotted around the place.

Good luck with the saga, Debs. Let me know when you send it and I'll hold my thumbs!

I've got a couple of rejected sagas, too.

pat posner - thanks, Pat. I think I enjoy writing sagas better than anything else right now.

Look how slim he looks!!!! All along I thought the secret to looking thinner in photos was to not smile but now I see I have been wrong all along; I need to get my hair cut and hey presto instant diet!

Grumpy looks great Debs. BTW I can't remember whether I've thanked you for all your posts, both here and on CIF. I've been reading them but haven't had time to blog much lately. Absolutely Fab advice.

dj kirkby - if only it were that easy, I'd also book an immediate appointment with my hairdresser.

annieye - thanks, you're doing so well and it's so exciting to read your news as it comes along.

My comments keep vanishing!! I left one here and one on Caroline's on Friday and they have both gone!!

Your right, Grumpy does look like he's smiling in the first one and not impressed in the second. He's got a funny wee face....gorgeous!!

That's so funny, though I nearly screamed at first!

Glad you're feeling inspired - I'm just feeling tired at the moment with one thing and another :o)

karen - he's still not impressed, mind you I wouldn't be either if I were him.

Hope your inspiration comes back with great gusto soon.
