Dancing With Sean Connery (Mum, not me)

For those of you who commented on my last blog post about my mum dancing with Sean Connery, here are the pictures.

It was the sixties. Doesn't she look lovely? He looks gorgeous too, of course, but then he was James Bond!

Wow; that's some claim to fame Debs. What were the circumstances?

Deborah Carr (Debs) said...

Jenny - My father arranged a ball for charity (he was involved with the Lions Club and other things back then) and brought Sean Connery over as the guest for the ball.

Oh Debs, this is priceless! Your mum is stunning, and of course, Sean, well... :)))

Been meaning to tell you how great your new blog photo is! Lovely women in your family!

Wow, how impossibly, fabulously brilliant is that?

I am *so* going to add 'dance with James Bond' to the things-to-do-before-I-die list!

anna - thank you very much. She is lovely and I'm pleased with my profile picture. I hate having my photo taken, but the photographer was very good.

jen - me too! I wouldn't mind dancing with Daniel Craig, though I can't see that happening anytime soon.

Well I missed that post about Sean Connery but you can bet I'm going right back to find it and read it! Love the photos!

rosemary - I haven't really looked at the picture for years, but he seems quite taken with her.

sue - my dad didn't actually arrange it for her, he brought Sean Connery over as a guest of honour for a ball. She seems so composed, which she would have been no doubt.

jenny - my parents were always dressed up and going to wonderful parties. I remember how beautiful she always looked.

karenG - lol, thank you. It was the previous post.

I love love love her hair! How on earth did she get it to stay up like that? She looks so beautiful and completely unflustered at taking 007 for a spin around the dance floor. That is very cool!

Deborah Carr (Debs) said...

Kath - and she still is very cool ;0)

Mum used to do her own hair a lot of the time, though I can't imagine that she managed this creation!
