Jenny - My father arranged a ball for charity (he was involved with the Lions Club and other things back then) and brought Sean Connery over as the guest for the ball.
My God, that is so amazing! She's beautiful, and what an incredible thing for your father to have arranged for her. I would have been a puddle of inanity....
rosemary - I haven't really looked at the picture for years, but he seems quite taken with her.
sue - my dad didn't actually arrange it for her, he brought Sean Connery over as a guest of honour for a ball. She seems so composed, which she would have been no doubt.
jenny - my parents were always dressed up and going to wonderful parties. I remember how beautiful she always looked.
karenG - lol, thank you. It was the previous post.
Don't know who's the luckier, Debs! He does look quite taken with er doesn't he? And no wonder, she's just lovely. Love that look and 'masterful" hold. :-)
(Course that's a bare-face lie, but like you said yourself - it'd be nice to hear sometime. I thought so too, so I'm playing the good fairy and spreading a little of Diane's sunshine your way.)
Thank you for the lovely comments. Mum is always glamorous and although I remembered she'd 'danced with James Bond' I haven't really looked at the pictures before.
I love love love her hair! How on earth did she get it to stay up like that? She looks so beautiful and completely unflustered at taking 007 for a spin around the dance floor. That is very cool!
