Here's a picture of tonight's full moon.
The temperature has dropped, the clocks have gone back and we've starting lighting fires in the sitting room at night, so it must be Autumn. What? Already?
I love the change of the seasons and the colder weather makes me want to settle down and read. Well, after I've dragged on my warmest sloppy Joe clothes and slippers, that is.
How do you feel about Autumn/Winter?
PS These pictures were taken straight after one another, even though the sky looks much darker in the zoomed in photo.

Lovely photos, Debs. Did you use an ordinary digital camera or something with settings to get such a clear picture?
I love Autumn too. Dark evenings and log fires mean that Chrtistmas can't be too far away!
What brilliant pictures. Must say I don't like this time of year, but it is nice to snuggle up all cosy indoors x
Great photos! I love autumn/winter and the full moon. More like winter some days here in Scotland now but this is my favourite time of year.
Love the photos!
xo
I adore autumn. It's not too cold yet and I love kicking in the leaves with my kids (ok, ok, on my own too), especially when they're crunchy.
Now winter and I do not get along at all. It's far too cold and after dragging a buggy through thick snow for every school run, I never want to see the white stuff again. My daughter's no longer in a buggy but I can't seem to forgive the snow.
I adore autumn! It's my favorite time of year. Our moon has looked much like that the last few evenings, too. Gorgeous!
jean - I used a normal digital camera. It's not very good, to be honest with you, but I rested it on a wall (6ft) to steady it for the close-up pic.
teresa - I never mind being indoors when it's cold or miserable too.
rosemary - sometimes our winters are more like miserable autumn days. I can imagine you have much more dramatic weather and scenery than we do, which much be wonderful.
sue - thanks.
mama j - I don't think I've ever had to push a buggy in the snow, it must be such a pain. Here's to less snow this year. Well, maybe a day or so of it and then it can go.
melissa - I love it when the moon looks so bright and huge like it did the other night.
Great photos - there have been amazing moons lately, often with those rings you get around them which signify ice crystals forming in the upper atmosphere. I once knew an ex psychiatric nurse who assured me people are definitely affected by the phases of the moon. I like winter, I just wish it wasn't so long!
Cara - I didn't know that about the ice crystals. Fascinating!
A beautiful full moon, Autumn is not my favourite season by far but it does have its compensations. Log fires and roasting chestnuts.
Your photos are amazing, I love the full moon in a picture, simple but splendid.
