Editing in Lousy Weather

I don't know about you, but I find it much easier to edit when the weather is miserable. There's no temptation for me to venture outside when it's windy, raining and cold, which is exactly what the weather's been like here in Jersey for most of the past few weeks.

On the other hand, I can't wait for Spring to arrive when I can get out and about and enjoy a little heat and some colour in the garden.

So, while we're waiting, I thought I'd post a picture of he Amaryllis flowers that are cheering me up as I edit.

Do you have a favourite time of year for editing?

Roll on Spring...

Lovely photo, Debs! I love all writing and editing during bad weather as there's something cosy about working indoors when it's miserable outide. And I'm not a big fan of the sun, although I am looking forward to spring.

No special month for me, but the poorer the weather, the higher the work rate. I think that when I can't go out in the sun I buckle down to it.

Happy editing!

Bad weather is great for working. Far less distractions and temptations. But today we have snow again, and it's becoming a bit miserable. Roll on spring!

No editing to do except getting rid of some clutter in my home. Winter is a good time for that.

Amayrillas are so rewarding, aren't they? Beautiful color and form for so little effort and care.

The weather here is really miserable at the moment, very wet and cold and I find it quite depressing, so not easy to do anything constructive. Roll on the spring and summer. But good luck with your editing.

Thank you ladies. It seems that I'm not the only one who's fed up with this constantly miserable weather. I hope it cheers up soon.x

I'll be editing sometime this week, and I agree that it's a good time. Glad the lighter mornings are creeping in.

I find this weather pretty depressing but then if it's nice I want to be out in it! So a bit of both I guess.

Frances - me too. Good luck with your editing this week.

flowerpot - I can't wait to be outside in the sunshine again. Unfortunately the only sunshine we've had for a while was on Monday when I was at work!

How lovely to see a splash of colour on your blog (and thank you for your comment which cheered me up too!). Like everyone else, I'm so fed up with being cold and looking at the rain - I shall have to find the silver lining in it as you have!

chris - Thanks, I treated myself to the Amaryllis a few weeks ago and they're lovely. I think we'll all be so much happier when the weather cheers up a bit, I know I will.x

Cloudy, rainy days are perfect days for me to write. Winter is usually my most productive time. But this year, I'm oddly looking forward to spring. Guess my body can't handle extreme cold weather just like it can't handle extreme hot weather!

I don't edit but I do LOVE it when it gets warm and I can take my sketchbook and go draw things outside! I am very much looking forward to doing that this year cause I'm going to have the time...wooo hoo.

Hope the editing is going well
