I think it's probably both, learning curve first and later when it's all settled down, definitely fodder. I've had one of those weeks too.

That's how you can tell a writer - when her life is disintegrating around her she can be heard muttering 'it'll all go in a book, one day'...

Always try to remember that some days are golden, some are leaden. Some weeks seems to learn the wrong way. Hope some of your unresolved issues get sorted soon Debs. Clear the deck for happier times. In the meantime, always do the things, like the Book Night, that are important to you.

Hope the sadness is soon nothing but a memory and that good times are ahead. World Book Night is such a wonderful thing to be involved in and how exciting to be in the paper :-) x
