Spring & World Book Night
It's Spring. I love this time of year, even though it's sometimes difficult to find the time to simply sit and 'be' to appreciate everything. It's probably my second favourite time of year - I adore the summer - and I love watching everything come to life, especially after a long, wet and windy winter. As well as the new season, I'm also starting a new job and I've begun writing a new book. So, I'm moving into a new phase personally, too. Exciting stuff!
I can never understand people complaining about having nothing to do in their spare time. "Spare time, what's that?" I hear you ask. I always seem to have too many things to do each day, never mind not enough and even if I'm not writing, I'm reading someone else's book. Which reminds me, I'm going to be a World Book Night Giver again this year - 23 April - and the book I've been allocated is Jeffrey Archer's, Four Warned. It wasn't my first, or even second choice, but I love taking part. This will be the second time I've been a giver and I'm looking forward to it. I'm also going to be a Community Giver and will give out a book of my choice.
What are you enjoying, or looking forward to this Spring?

It's lovely to see everything coming to life again, albeit more slowly here! Glad you have such an exciting life just now, Debs. And my husband likes Jeffrey Archer - says he's a great storyteller!
I'm loving this weather too Debs. Good luck with the new job and new book.x
I always look forward to the Spring flowers and I'm really enjoying them now they are out.
It's pretty windy and grey here Debs but I love the spring and I'm really looking forward to being able to go for walks again and go sailing again. But I am also enjoying time to myself so it's not all bad!
Rosemary - I'm really enjoying seeing the fields of daffodils and blossoms coming out on the trees. I agree with your husband, I've enjoyed many of Jeffrey Archer's books.
Thanks Anita, the job is going well and the writing is coming along slowly, but I am enjoying writing the book. How is your writing coming along?
I agree, Jenny. I think it cheers everything and everyone up so much to see the gorgeous flowers blooming in the gardens and hedgerows.
I love reading about your walks, Sue, your posts are always so vivid. I hope you can enjoy your sailing soon, too.
Hi Deb thought I'd pop in in my spare time, lol, and see what you're up to. We are in Autumn in Oz and it's still pretty hot. The garden looks lovely, though.
It's so much nicer looking out of my garden writing room, to see sunshine and flowers instead of gloomy grey skies. I definitely find springtime more inspiring! x
denise - thanks very much for popping by! I've never been to Oz but it's on my 'must see' list of places to visit!
Ange - I have to agree with you! Roll on summer... x
