Get That Friday Feeling

It's Friday. What a relief, I was beginning to think that the weekend would never get here.

I'm right near the end of this gripping book by Penny Vincenzi and although I don't want it to end, I can't wait to see what happens to the characters. I now have to choose what to read next and love doing this, sad as I am. Gazing blissfully at my tbr pile and choosing what book I want to read is just so thrilling. Can I hear the words, 'get a life' out there in the ether?

Poor S was at the dentist yesterday having a new metal band put into her brace. Taking it out was fine (though I did think he'd pulled out half her teeth, he gave it such a pull) and putting it in was okay. It was when he was clicking the band into place, I could see his hand shaking at the pressure and poor S had her jaw between his one hand holding her jaw in place and the other pushing the band into the brace. Needless to say, she is rather sore this morning and has also woken with a stinking great cold. Not the happiest bunny around!

I have so much writing to do over the weekend and can't wait to get started, mind you I do have to go and choose a couple of trees with R, take S for a haircut and venture out to be a little sociable over the next couple of days, but I also intend locking myself away as much as possible too.

Can you hear 'get a life' being shouted at you? Not from me, no. I love it too.

I'm not shouting either....I chose my next book last night and read the first couple of chapters too. I opted for a Katie Fforde one!!

I had a few friends who had braces in school and it always seemed so painful I felt really sorry for them. Hope S is feeling a little happier as the day goes on.

jj - It's good to know that I'm in the company of like minded people :)

mummy - I love Katie Fforde and have enjoyed every one of her books.

Poor S, she feels happier now that I've let her have the day off school and is ensconced in front of the tv.

Don;t you be talking about dentist, roll on the false teeth that is all I can say.

Have wonderful scribblings in the shed this weekend :) TFx

helen - I second those sentiments exactly, I thought the weekend would never get here.

tom foolery - I don't mind the dentist too much, nor do the children thankfully.

Thanks so much, I hope to get some time in there, I just hope my brain switches on and it's productive.

I remember watching The Teenager have her wires changed or tightened. Not nice but so worth it in the end.

Hope you get lots of writing done this weekend:-)

No you didn't hear me shout 'get a life either'. I do that countless times a day whilst at my computer (my bookshelves are above my desk!)

Ouch, poor S has my sympathy. My eldest has just recently had her braces removed but I well remember how painful it was for her every time the orthodontist tightened those wires.

Hooray for the weekend! It's spring here, finally! lol!!

I love choosing the next book to read! It's such a treat. Hope S is feeling better now. Enjoy the socialising!

Ah poor kid. Happy writing! I am not sure how much I will get done as I am being distracted by a rather bizzarre concept for a new novel...lord knows 2 on the go is plenty but looks like I may have a 3rd demanding my attention.

lane - she's feeling a little better today and I'm not sure if its her head cold or braces that are annoying her more.

helen - I would probably get far less writing done if I had my books near the computer :)

christina phillips - how lovely, spring. I noticed it was a little nippier here today, so maybe the autumn is well and truly here.

yvonne - it is good fun, glad to know I'm not alone with this.

S is feeling a little better, thanks.

dj kirkby - thanks. Crikey all that going on at the same time, good for you.
