Lest We Forget

I've tried to think what to write today, but have come to the conclusion that we probably all have relatives who fought and suffered due to war.

I'm sure we'll never forget them.

I certainly never shall.

You are absolutely right Debs. There are so many freedoms we enjoy because of others sacrifice. As writers in particualr we cna enjoy the freedom of expression and speech because of our grandfathers and beyond. We should never forget

Our Veterans' Day is tomorrow. I wish we celebrated it more than we do. But I, for one, will be remembering!

Hi Debs, if you are still interested in being part of my book project could you send me an e-mail to
bookproject2009-coauthor[at]yahoo[dot]co[dot]uk
Obviously change the "at" and "dot" to the normal symbols.
This is address is just temporary to keep our real e-mail addresses away from the public domain and spammers. I'll then send you direct my real e-mail address.

melissa marsh - I shall be remembering tomorrow too. It's our Remembrance Day, though yesterday was Remembrance Sunday, unfortunately I shall be in a meeting at 11am when we should be having our two minutes silence, but shall try and take a moment.

east anglian troy - I am still interested, I think it's a great concept, and shall email you now.

BTW glad you're thinking about taking part in East Angliam Troy's book concept - sounds good

My little boy is too young to understand why he has a popy on his coat, but I hope it will become something he'll ask about in time. And I hope it will be something he'll be proud to wear.

Tomorrow we observe Veteran's Day in the U.S.--much like your Remembrance Day. Our Fun Monday blog community has posted wonderful memories and photos of family members who have sacrificed to defend our freedom. Very moving accounts all day.

Today, on Rememberance day, I will be thinking of my family, both those who are still serving their coutnries proudly and those my family has lost in the service of their countries. The poppy is one of my favourite flowers.
