Sicknote, Tax Forms & Dog The Bounty Hunter

I spoke too soon when I said that his grumpiness was on the mend. I took him for a check up on Saturday and the vet (never met her before, won't bother with her again either) insisted he was fine. On Monday, he had a relapse, so R took him back to our favoured vet (older chap and wonderful) who gave the poor chap (dog, not R) an injection, more pills and some special food that he hates. He seems much better though.

I've just promised R (for the umpteenth time) that I'll complete my tax form this weekend. (((Groan))) I shall definately TRY to, and know that it'll be such a relief to get the damn thing out. (((Another groan))).

Right, I'm off to eat the gorgeous roast beef supper R has been cooking, then it's back to the editing, well, after I've watched Dog the Bounty Hunter with J & S. We're complete addicts at the moment, and love it.

Aw, poor Grumps. No wonder he's looking sorry for himself. Hope he's soon fully recovered, poor thing.

Good luck with the tax form. I hate anything like that and always put it off for as long as possible.

Poor Grumpy. I hope he's on the mend now.

And why is it that they never like 'special' food:-)

Your supper sounds delish:-)

Glad Grumpy seems a lot better. Bet he's jealous of your roast beef supper! (Glad I read this post after I had eaten! ;-))

Hope Grumpy is soon back to his special self again soon.

Good luck with your form filling. I guess that's what happens when you are a mega, best selling novelist you get to fill in lots of forms...lol

Have a great weekend

Annie

We love DtBH too! Glad that Grumpy perked up after his jab and rubbish vet food. What was the sick note all about?

Oh, poor old His Grumpiness! Hopefully on the mend. Enjoy that dinner.

Poor Grumps. I've got to take Cookie Crumble to the vet tomorrow. I'm dreading him giving her pills because she always refuses to take them. Although she's perfectly happy to eat dead voles, old chop bones from people's bins, and today - a butterfly :(

Poor, dear Grumpy.
I am sure with you as his nurse, he'll be fine. Glad you saw the wise old vet.

Poor Grumpy. My sister's cat, sorry Grumpy, gets special food from the vet at a dreadful price. But, of course, the cat really prefers the crappy cat food that they other cats eat!

I think vets are just like doctors and really need to know the history of the animal to give their best service.

Just give grumps some big hugs. He looks to be on the mend. I'm glad you took him back to your usual vet.

I hate thinking about tax time. I'm with you on that one.

Yes, go edit, watch tv, whatever it takes to get away from the T word!

Big hugs to Grumpy, he really does look fed up.

'Dog the Bounty Hunter'? Don't think I know that one.

Your husband cooks roast dinners? Wow, can we swap?

Poor grumpy, lovely photo though! Glad to hear he's on the mend.

Roast beef dinner on a Thursday, that's very decadent!

shirley - thanks. I'm dreading the tax bill, but feel the need to do it today.

lane - supper was so tasty, unlike Grumpy's. He's still hating his.

amanda - thanks, it was lovely.

annie w - wouldn't it be nice to have someone else to fill the darn thing in?

melissa - thanks.

dj - R always calls Grumpy, Sicknote, as he's always got something wrong with him.

chris - he seems a little better.

helen - lol. Isn't it funny how they can eat such horrible things and then turn their noses up at their actual food?

fiona - aww thanks.

pat - thanks, he does seem a little better.

lbm - he always looks miserable, cant help it.

jj - I've just received part of the bill!!!!

motherx - I'm doing this before the tax bill comes out!

tf - he's a little better, and still as noisy.

kaye - I've done everything but my tax forms until now, so had better get a move on.

claire p - younger brother and stepson have been telling me for ages to watch Dog, but I thought it sounded dreadful. I love it though.

maddie moon - we rarely have roast lunches on sundays as the children are usually with their father, so tend to do it in the week instead.

tam - TD sounds like she's got great taste liking Grumps :)

dj - my pleasure. I loved the book, it's so good.

I hope Grumpy is feeling better. It all sounds scary to me. I've never watched Dog the Bounty Hunter, but will check it out soon.

Grumpy looks very cute and very special! I have to say, I do envy you for having a shed to escape to, just like George Bernard Shaw's! We live in a flat so no shed opportunities for me...;-(
I will have to find some other kind of retreat ;-)

gran - he is much better today, thanks.

Do check out Dog, it's such fun.

jillywilly - Grumps is a sweetheart, though he barks an awful lot and drives everyone mad.

I love the shed, so does everyone else, as they get peace from me when I'm in there.

flowerpot - thanks. He's feeling much better, I think.
